Broccoli Coleslaw

Tips: This salad is a big hit at any event. It doesn't wilt and may be prepared in advance. In fact, it is better if it sits in the refrigerator 1-2 days before. Add this broccoli slaw to any burger and they will keep coming back for more.

INGREDIENTS:
1 (12 oz) package shredded broccoli slaw mix (found with the packaged salads in produce section)
1/2 cup chopped red onions
3/4 cup cranraisins
1 lb chopped cooked crispy bacon substitution: crisp turkey bacon is lower fat
3/4 cup chopped walnuts
1 1/2 cups mayonnaise
4 tbsp red wine vinegar
3 tbsp granulated white sugar
DIRECTIONS:
  1. Combine broccoli slaw, onion, cranraisins in a medium bowl.

  2. In a separate bowl, mix mayo, vinegar, sugar, and pepper to taste.

  3. Blend dressing into slaw mix, cover and refrigerate overnight or a few hours.

  4. Mix in crisp bacon of choice just before serving.
