Broccoli Coleslaw |
Tips: This salad is a big hit at any event. It doesn't wilt and may be prepared in advance. In fact, it is better if it sits in the refrigerator 1-2 days before. Add this broccoli slaw to any burger and they will keep coming back for more. |

INGREDIENTS: |

(12 oz) package shredded broccoli slaw mix (found with the packaged salads in produce section) |

1/2 cup |
chopped red onions |
|
3/4 cup |
cranraisins |
|
1 lb |
chopped cooked crispy bacon |
substitution: crisp turkey bacon is lower fat |
3/4 cup |
chopped walnuts |
|
1 1/2 cups |
mayonnaise |
|
4 tbsp |
red wine vinegar |
|
3 tbsp |
granulated white sugar |
|
|
DIRECTIONS:
- Combine broccoli slaw, onion, cranraisins in a medium bowl.
- In a separate bowl, mix mayo, vinegar, sugar, and pepper to taste.
- Blend dressing into slaw mix, cover and refrigerate overnight or a few hours.
- Mix in crisp bacon of choice just before serving.
